Turner Ek Matsalsbänk

The spindleback design really anchors our dining room, and the turned legs are even prettier in person than in the photos. It’s solid oak through and through, so it feels like it’ll outlast everything else we own.

The aged oak oil finish gives it a warm, tactile feel that makes the whole bench look like it’s been in the family for years. The hand-carved spindleback is sturdy yet elegant, and it seats two comfortably without feeling cramped.

The hand-carved oak is noticeably solid—you can feel the weight when you lift it—and the aged oil finish has a warm, matte look that fits our farmhouse table well. Only gripe is the seat’s a bit firm for long dinners, but a cushion solves that.
